Three Birds

This painting stems from a dream I had. All through out the dream things changed. The main dramatic change was that a human changed to a cat three times. Instead of using a cat in the painting I used a bird.

There is a practice in psychology that says if you re-write your dreams to make the ending what you want it to be that it can be healing. Sometimes I’ll re-write a dream if I don’t like how it ended and sometimes I’ll paint a prettier picture than what my subconscious gave me. Try this technique, you might find it helpful. I certainly like both ways of having a little more control over my subconscious.
